I was very impressed with the firearm training and self defense class I took from ACT Personal Defense. The class flew by. Wayne was outstanding, very professional and demonstrated great attention to detail. I can't tell you how much I learned, I thought my skills and knowledge were up to par. Boy was I ever wrong! When dealing with potentially life-threatening situations the last thing you would want is a fledgling instructor who hasn't been under real stress and fire. Wayne's defensive and gun handling skills are second to none. I felt I was given the proper amount of one on one time to make sure I was learning the proper techniques. I also saw the same attention to detail given to everyone in the class. Much of what I learned could be some of the best knowledge I could ever have for me and my loved ones safety. I want to learn more and be the best defensive shooter - with Wayne's help I'll get there.

By far one of the best certified firearm training you can find anywhere in the Georgia. Within minutes of arriving I quickly discovered a lot of flaws in my technique and equipment choices. I didn't expect this from a basic gun class. I walked away today very humbled and with a lot more knowledge than when I initially walked into the training center. My only regret is that I wished I had taken this course sooner. I had thoughts about driving 2 and a half hours to attend this firearm training course, but I'm glad I did and I'll do it again! Thanks Wayne, you just got yourself a new regular student!

Awesome Experience with ACT Personal Defense! I took the Basic Pistol course with Wayne. Before I signed up for the class, I shared my firearm training experience with Wayne and he said I will learn something. Although I shoot regularly (although not as much I want) I learned a lot in this one day course. I look forward to shooting better with my improved grip I learned with Wayne. I would suggest to my family and friends to take this shooting class. In addition, I look forward so taking the CCW training with Wayne in the future.

Wayne is not only very professional, but his knowledge of both personal defense and tactical training is outstanding. With a relaxed atmosphere and a willingness to help students understand all facets of SAFE firearm ownership, Wayne personifies what every instructor should strive to achieve. I highly recommend his gun courses to anyone, novice to expert.This was a great experience for me.

This was a great experience for me. I had no firearm knowledge before taking the Basic Handgun training class. We spent adequate time going over the basics and safety then working my way from a .22 handgun to a 9mm handgun. It was a very informative and fun experience! Wayne was very patient and full of knowledge he made sure I was comfortable in each stage before we moved forward. It was very clear he was very experienced. I will definitely be going back for future classes. I highly recommend. If you're curious about firearms, personal defense, or just purchased your first firearm. Take this class!

Highly Recommend. From the moment I contacted Mr. Lanier he was very responsive and willing to answer all my questions. The women’s self-defense shooting class was great and provided opportunities for questions and comments. He is not the typical instructor, it felt more like a good friend teaching the class (helpful, listens, knowledgeable). It was a fun experience.

5 STARS. The training with Wayne at ACT was incredible. I can't imagine a better, more thorough training exists. I am a new gun owner with a young kids, and I wanted to learn how to use and handle a gun to carry one on me regularly. As a result of the training, I learned all that and much more. It was one of those "I didn't know what I didn't know experiences." I learned how to hold a gun, shoot a gun, and create a regular practice routine to get better and better. Wayne spent 25 years on a SWAT team. His wisdom and experience is immense. I am going to do the same training again in a month or two! That's how good it was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
